The BADFA committee met today, at chez chairman, just inside the M25. All us country folk survived the experience with more than six hours of concentrated discussion.

The main topic of the day was our 2014 Convention, planned for 31 May/1 June in Crick, Northamptonshire. We have moved forward, and we are making more detailed plans, now we have a better idea of what we want to achieve. Will there be a ‘big name’? How many seminars will be on offer? How much will it all cost?

There was plenty of other, mundane committee stuff to wade through, but at the close of play we knew we had made progress. Oh, there were a couple of less mundane topics, too, but you won’t read about them here!

The problem with any voluntary group is, well, finding volunteers. We are still trying to find a replacement membership secretary, and other posts will be up for election next year. How will fill the empty seats?

Luckily, in BADFA, the current committee are all like minded, and are happy to have open and honest discussions – that makes decision making easier.

Members, the newsletter will be out in early November.

Onward, and upward! Now where’s that list of jobs I have to do … ?
